What Is a Quartz Accelerometer?
Quartz Acceleration is one of the accelerometers. It is a precision instrument composed of quartz flexible support and an advanced circuit based on the principle of inertia. Quartz flexible accelerometer has high output impedance, users can choose the required sampling resistor according to the situation without affecting the stability of the system.
A quartz accelerometer has a single axis that measures acceleration. It provides high temperature and anti-vibration performance. When using it, avoid dropping it.
Also, the manufacturer can fit them with different devices application. High temperature, high anti-vibration, high range etc. All parameters can be customized.
If needed, the high-temperature quartz accelerometer will help you improve the directional drilling tools’ performance, improve your whole inertial navigation system performance.
Types of Quartz accelerometer
Quartz flexible accelerometers have formed a series of products. The product types range from high-precision ug accelerometers to harsh environment-resistant accelerometers and high-temperature accelerometers for oil drilling. The operating temperature can reach 185°C. Provide inertial acceleration signals for navigation, guidance, control, leveling, and monitoring of various systems. The more famous ones are the QA-T160 and QA-T185 high-temperature drilling accelerometers produced by Honeywell in the United States. The QA-T series is the core (MWD) sensor in the Honeywell accelerometer. It adopts improved Q-FLEX technology, and it is designed and manufactured to withstand harsh measurement while drilling (MWD) and cable environments (up to 200°C and high shock/vibration), while providing high precision, high stability, and high reliability. The Q-Flex high-temperature accelerometer has three models: QA-T160, QA-T185, and Mini Q. QA-T160 and QA-T185 have different operating temperature ranges, so you can flexibly choose the appropriate accelerometer. For small diameter applications, we provide SNQ6. For high-temperature accelerometers, we recommend SNQ4 instead of QA-T160 and QA-T185.
Our SNQ series of quartz flexible accelerometers provide navigation, control, and measurement solutions for all market segments. Our sensor has a compact design and flexible installation options to provide form, suitable, not restricted by the arms embargo convention, ITAR replaces other quartz servo accelerometers currently on the market. Our SNQ series of quartz accelerometers are ideal for navigation, control, and measurement applications.
Application of Quartz accelerometer
Quartz flexible pendulum accelerometers have been widely used in the measurement of various linear accelerations and vibration accelerations and the measurement of parameters such as speed, distance, angular velocity, and angular displacement. Successfully used in satellite microgravity measurement systems, high-precision inertial navigation systems, rock, and soil-based borehole surveys and oil drilling, continuous inclinometer systems, launch vehicles, ballistic missiles, spacecraft, and other military and civilian fields.
